Athena Update – Week 38

The Athena High School Mission: “Our graduates will be prepared for success in college and career in the 21st century.”

NYSED School Report Card – As mentioned at this weeks staff meeting, our annual school report card was released last month. This report is generated by the Steve Department of Education and is used to evaluate the quality of each school. This year’s Athena report showed continued growth and improvement across the board in virtually every area of school accountability.  In particular, our graduation rates continue to increase and we are up 3% since the preceding year.  Also of note our suspension rate is continuing to decline which indicates that the work we continue to do to ensure safety and appropriate behavior is a top priority is having a significant impact. We are clearly headed in the right direction.
