A Few of Athena High School’s Data Bright Spots

Consider the following data points about our school.

  • AP Exams 2013 – 356 Students took 748 AP Exams at Athena High.  This represents an increase of 26 students and 40 exams as compared with the previous year.
  • Graduation Rate – 95% of the 2008 cohort earned a Regents Diploma in 2012.  This represents an increase of 3% from the previous year and an increase of 5% over two years.
  • Regents with Advanced Designation – 42% of the 2008 cohort earned a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation in 2012.
  • Annual Yearly Progress – Athena High School met AYP in ELA and Math for all sub groups for the 2011-2012 school year.
  • The Class of 2013 – 102 students (30%) of the Class of 2013 earned Valedictorian or Salutatorian honors.

We have a lot of incredible staff and students who work hard every day to help ensure that all of our students learn at high levels.  Good work!
