Chalk the Walk: Celebrating National Poetry Month

During the past few weeks Athena students have been celebrating National Poetry Month in a variety of ways. Students from Mr. Scott’s classes have been sharing Pocket Poems with their peers and adults.  A different student each morning has read a poem on the announcements.  Friday, after school while leaving the building you may have noticesthe side walk tleading to the parkinglot was covered with poetry.  This “Chalk the Walk”  activity was completed by Mrs. Masters students.  Here are a few examples from our school Flickr page.  Click the image below to view them on the page.
