Relay for Life Coming Up Soon (Note from Gary Wolyn)

I wanted to extend the invitation for you and your faculty/staff to stop by the Relay For Life of Greece on June 9-10, 2012.  We have a number of different teacher and student groups participating in this year’s event from different schools in the district, and hope that some individuals from your school will stop by to see exactly what Relay For Life of Greece is all about.
The event will run from 2pm on June 9 to 2am on June 10, and is held at the Apollo Middle School Track.  Even if it is not possible to stay the whole time, I certainly recommend that everyone stop by for our Opening “Celebrate” Ceremony where we honor all the cancer Survivors in our community and they kick-off the event by taking the first lap – it is an absolutely inspirational and exciting moment!
I understand that schedules will be getting pretty tight with the end of the school year right around the corner, but it would be great to see some representation from each of the schools in our community!  Just about everyone knows someone who has been touched by cancer, and this is our way of taking a stand and supporting our family, friends, students, colleagues, and loved ones!
Please let me know if you have any questions or would like me to forward you additional information.  Our website www.RelayForLife.org/GreeceNY also has some great information!
I hope to hear from you soon! Thank you,
Gary Wolyn
